About Board 95

The International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO) is a non-profit and professional organization managed by and for basketball officials whose primary purpose is to promote, maintain, and ensure the welfare of the game of basketball. Through strict development of standards, curricula, a continuous instruction, IAABO trains and educates new and experienced officials who are duly charged with representing the spirit of fair play, integrity, and sportsmanship. By promoting the principle of teachable moments, IAABO is dedicated to assisting schools and organizations in achieving their educational goals and furthering the ideals of basketball.

The GREATER LOWELL AREA BOARD NO. 95, of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO), serves the greater Merrimack Valley area.

The territory granted to BOARD 95 includes the following cities and towns in Northern Middlesex County: Acton, Bedford, Billerica, Boxboro, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Littleton, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Westford and Wilmington.

The purpose of our BOARD is:

• * To promote the game of Basketball, its Players and its Officials.
• * To maintain the highest standard of officiating.
• * To encourage the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.
• * To have available, at all times, an adequate number of thoroughly trained and capable officials.
• * To cooperate with all organizations officially connected with the game of basketball in furthering its interests and ideals and safety of the game.
